What To Do

Preheat Oven to 450

In a Medium Size Bowl mix the following: milk,Parmesan cheese, sour cream, cheddar cheese, bay seasoning, Bisquick, garlic powder.

om gosh, i’ve made these for years, these are the best, just like red lobster, try them and you won’t be diappointed

  • Tom

I worked for Red Lobster at one time and this recipe is very close to the original. We actually used Bisquick when we were out of the standard ingredients. I can taste a big difference, although It is still very good.
Red Lobster uses a special flour blend from General Mills as well as a “premixed” butter, garlic sauce that is painted on the biscuits as soon as they come out of the oven. This is also a General Mills item that the general public can not get. The next beat thing is the Bisquick recipe an it is also very good as most of you know. Just FYI for those interested!

  • Jessica

This was super good, and pretty easy! My boyfriend’s family has been on the hunt for this recipe for years and have tried a lot of variations. He said this was the closest they’ve come to being identical to Red Lobster. We thought they needed a little more seasoning to be exactly like Red Lobster’s biscuits, maybe a 1/4-1/2 teaspoon more on the garlic and old bay, and I mixed a little garlic salt in with the salt I sprinkled on top. But they were still REALLY good!

  • Shannon

Is there something i can use instead of the sour cream? my boyfriend is allergic to it.

    • Jen

Other similar recipes skip the sour cream and just increase the milk!

      • Shannon

        Thank you

    • Tiff

plain greek yogurt should work in place of sour cream if he is not allergic

      • Richelle

I used plain greek yougurt and they tasted great. However the biscuit bottoms were a little overdone but the centre’s undercooked – I didn’t have parchment paper though. Next time I will lower the oven temp and cook a bit longer so my biscuits don’t deflate when I pull them to butter the tops.

  • Lesia

Made these and they are SO delicious and easy to make! I used a 1/4 teaspoon more of bay seasoning like the comments suggested, and I only used 3 tablespoons of butter to brush the biscuits and they still turned out super buttery and tasty

  • Ellen

Do you think that gluten free Bisquick could be substituted and it would still be reasonably close?

    • Sue

Ellen – I’ve made these with the gluten free Bisquick and yes they are delicious!!! I add garlic salt to the butter I brush on top and do not put them back in the oven as long as they are already golden brown. YUMMY!!!!

  • Kristine

What could I use instead of the Bay seasoning? I don’t have any but wanting to make some

  • Nicole Krupnik

I made these last night and they were a huge hit!!!!! I added a bit more seasoning per what the other were saying and they were delicious! Thank you for posting. I will be making these again!

  • Judy

Can you make this batter and keep it in the fridge for any length of time so you can just pop in the oven. Made these yesterday and they were wonderful! Everybody loved them.

  • Sara

I just made these for my husband, I looked up a ‘homemade’ bisquick recipe as I didn’t have any on hand. I didn’t have any Old Bay Seasoning either. (never heard of it tbh) They came out DELICIOUS!

  • harly

omg i made these tonight with dinner (beef stew) and they were amazing!!!!

  • Melanie

Just finished making and sampling these, hot, out of the oven. Excellent! Will definitely make these again.

    • Watson

      Awesome 🙂 !!!!

  • Lydia Hedgepeth

Love this recipe. I didn’t have enough milk so I made up the difference with almond milk. Added a little more garlic , old bay and sharp cheddar cheese because I thought the almond milk would change the taste. It didn’t , was great!

  • Melanie Beck

What is Old Bay seasoning? Never heard of it. Otherwise, these biscuits sound great!

  • Rhonda Stoner

Really looking forward to trying this one!

  • Blanca Carrillo

so flipping happy to have this recipe now THANK YOU! lol

  • Sarah Gillespie

Perfect! I usually buy the box mix that they sell but that can be pricey, this will def come in handy!
